Haruhi Fujioka enrolls at Ouran Academy. Ouran is a school for extremely rich children and teens, but Haruhi is a commoner. She is enrolled as an honour student. Haruhi resembles a boy, so when she runs into the Ouran High School Host Club (a group of attractive young men obliged to making women happy) and breaks a vase costing 800 000 000 yen, they recruit her.

The Host Club is made up of Tamaki Suoh - the princley type, Kyouya Otori - the cool type, Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin (twins) - the little devil types, Takashi "Mori" Morinozuka - the strong and silent type, and Mitsukuni "Hunny" Haninozuka - the boy lolita type (Hunny and Mori are cousins).
