Yes, an Autistic person can have a successful relationship. Sometimes it is harder for Autistic people to find a healthy relationship, and for them to maintain a normal relationship, especially when they are attempting a relationship with a Neurotypical person rather than another Autistic person. Like with anyone else, relationships take effort.

∙ 9y agoYes, of course we autistic adults can engage in a meaningful relationship. Autism does impact on social interaction, but it doesn't make us emotionless or stop us from forming relationships with other people. Most autistic adults will have a meaningful relationship.

Those with Aspergers can have a relationship, such as friendship, dating, or marriage.
Though it is much more difficult for many reasons, it can still be achieved.

I am high functioning Autistic and I believe there are "Autistic types", kind of like categories of personality and compatibility. I could date another Autistic person if they were like me and would love to marry one but could never marry a typical person(can't stand living with them, no offence) I think how many Autistic people its easier to marry or date another autistic person and most Autistic on autistic relationships I know are far happier and longer than Autistic on NeuroTypical relationships. I would love to marry an autistic guy.
