It's possible, but not probable. There are some toxins in an avocado pit and in the skin, and also in the leaves and bark of the plant itself. But birds are the animal group most "at risk" from them. It is possible that an animal could have an allergic reaction to this fruit (technically a berry), and that included people. It' probably a good idea to dispose of the seeds so the dogs can't get to them, just in case.
i can not give a straight answer but i can tell you that i think that they are bad for dogs
They help their digestive system; Which means they can thoroughly swallow and digest food.
Avocados are fine for dogs to eat and is actually very good for their skin, giving them a shiny coat. However, it is high in fat and dogs can get fat if they eat too much avocados.

Per the AKC and other resources:
...”Avocados contain persin, a fungicidal toxin, which can cause serious health problems — even death — in many animals. ... Persin is present in the avocado fruit, pits, leaves, and the actual plant, so all of these parts are potentially poisonous to your dog.”

Can Dogs Eat Avocado? Are Avocados Bad for Dogs? - American Kennel Club
Avocado, avocado oil or any avocado product is very bad for dogs. Like chocolate, grapes and some others, it affects them in a permanent and dangerous way.
The persin contained in some parts of an avocado is toxic to birds and large animals. It is not toxic, however, to dogs, although some people claim it is.
It's not healthy. Avocado pits, like peach and apricot pits, contain cyanide to prevent animals from eating them.

I don't know, I clicked on this wanting the answer. Not wanting to answer it.
No, it's poison to dogs.
If you gently roast it, the bitterness goes away and the toasted "nut" tastes very much like a peanut. Here in the San Francisco Bay area we have Bay Trees, the source of the bay leaf used in seasoning. The fruit is identical in structure to the avocado. It is smaller with a very thin layer of yellow green flesh. . .much the likeness of the Pinkerton avocado. The original residents of the area, the Indians, harvested the Bay fruit and roasted it as a regular part of their diet.
