Bee larvae don't have a sting.

When a bee emerges from the pupal cell it is a fully grown adult. At first it has no venom, and full venom production is not reached until the bee is about 14 days old. However, the bee spends the first 21 days of its life in the hive, so any bees you see flying about will be quite able to sting.
