The only way it can stop someone is if they don't take their medication regularly. Most people with this condition don't like to take their meds because it makes them feel like they're not themselves.

AnswerMedication compliance, while definitely helpful and often necessary in the treatment of bipolar d/o, is not a necessity to become a teacher. However, if your symptoms interfere with your ability to interact with others or to effectively do your job, then that would prevent you from teaching. Simply having a diagnosis of bipolar d/o does not mean that you cannot teach.
