Black-footed ferrets are very playful, especially as kits. They are often observed chasing one another, stalking, or staging mock "attacks"--all valuable skills they will need to hunt as adults.
yes they can play dead only if you can find their favorite treat, then you can teach them any trick
my ferret, kooperton, who is a blackfooted ferret plays tag and hide and go seek, he also plays aattack the human, and pulls off my socks. Ferrets play a lot and play everything
About the same, both puppies and ferrets are careless and rambunctious when playing.
Ferrets are carnivores so in the wild they eat meat but they have been bred to eat specially made ferret food. added : domestic ferrets, the ones you keep as pets, cannot and do not survive in the wild. They are 100% dependant on humans for food and shelter. There has never been, in recorded history, a case of a domestic ferret becoming feral. When a domestic ferret is "released" into the wild, it soon dies by predation, or starvation. The "wild" ferret is properly called the North American Blackfooted Ferret, and is highly endangered and protected. They were once thought to have become extinct, but have been reintroduced through a captive breeding and release program. It is illegal to own or bother a blackfooted ferret. In the wild, the blackfooted ferret eats mainly prairie dogs, (and then lives in their burrows)or any other animal it can overpower. Domestic ferrets, the ones kept as pets, should be fed a high protien diet of high quality meat-based cat food. They should NOT be fed dog food, as it does not contain enough nutrient for ferrets. Raw uncooked meats, such as beef, and chicken are also appreciated by domestic pet ferrets.

Ferrets middle name is "play", they always love to play, are like a two year old that never grows up and remain playful throughout their life like as kittens. When ferrets are excited or in a playful mood, they will do a "dance of joy", bouncing around, leaping and twisting. They love to play with their owners, and will seek their attention. If you have seen any of the films of black footed ferrets - they are very playful also - characteristic of pet ferrets - jumping around, leaping and twisting
Yes they can, but not particularly far or high. But on average, they should be able to jump a short distance.
yes they are very curious creatures, and will get into almost anything that they're not supposed toYes, they are very inquisitive animals, and it may get them into trouble with their owners.
Ferrets can be taught to obey with proper training from you, which requires a lot of time and patience. Ferrets are very curious, and will do whatever they are not supposed to do. You can convince some ferrets to do tricks for food, and some animals follow their owner around, and most can learn to come when called. They listen slightly better then a cat, but they will never obey like a dog would. They good news is that ferrets are pretty harmless compared to a dog, and most are gentle and playful, so when you spend time with them, they'll soon learn not to bite, use the litter box, and even comprehend what you want from them, but whether they listen or not is up to them!
