make sure the male has been neutured if you do not want babies. rabbits are animals who crave company, especially from humans and other rabbits. two females or a male and a female will bond well together. you must never just shut both rabbits in a hutch together they are territorial animals and may fight or even kill each other. move the hutches closer together so they can see each other and put the runs side by side so they can sit together without being able to fight or mount each other. it can take a week or longer to have them living together and is best to have a two story hutch with bedding at both the top and the bottom. after a few days allow them to be in the garden together loose (if the garden is safe enough) so they can be together or get away from each other it is important to make sure they have access to separate hutches at this time. if the garden is not safe let them be loose together put them in a large enough run so they can socialise with each other. move both hutches into a larger run where they can access it together but can be apart is they need to. after about 1-2 weeks if they have bonded and get on very well you may allow them to live in the same hutch, if fights break out then maybe they need more time
