mine did.. he's ok. I don't think I'd recommend it though since they're high in fat and especially not salted ones... I just have to say, I'm not an expert and I'm not sure how peanuts will effect a rabbit's health, but i would think one peanut couldn't do much harm...

It is okay to feed bunnies peanut butter in certain quantities. Just a little bit a day is a good treat for them that they will love. I give my rabbit a mixture of oats and peanut butter everyday (vet recommended) because she does not eat any pellets and gets different nutrients from the oats and peanut butter.

No, rabbits can't have peanut butter. Rabbits shouldn't eat nuts at all, and they certainly shouldn't eat any foods with added sugars and processed ingredients (which many peanut butters have). If you want to give your rabbit a treat, stick to certain fresh fruits and vegetables, like carrot or apple. Too many treats can lead to illness in rabbits. The House Rabbit Society recommends no more than 2 tablespoons of treat veg/fruit per day for a normal, healthy 6 pound rabbit.

Peanut butter is pretty much pure fat, and fat should be kept to a minimum in a healthy rabbit diet. If there's a little bit of peanut buyer used in a treat food for flavoring, then it probably won't hurt the rabbit, as long as the treats are given in real moderation. However, it just isn't healthy, and the rabbit will appreciate some fresh fruit or veg just as much, and fresh fruit or veg at least has some healthy nutrients in it (not to mention, it's much cheaper than commercial rabbit treats from the pet store). Your rabbit won't know the difference and will love you just as much for the apple or carrot you give her. And remember that rabbits are strict herbivores. They are not rodents or primates. Their digestive system is more like that of a horse, and so they need lots of high-fiber green vegetable matter, such as grass hay and fresh, dark greens -- not peanuts, not treats.
