One core will be too little, however the game will run. Your framerate will be very low, and definitely not playable. More important than the Central Processing Unit is your graphics card. If you have dedicated graphics memory and a powerful graphics card, the game might run. If you have integrated graphics such as the Intel x3100 (g965 chipset) then you will not be able to run the game unless you have 1.5ghz+ dual cores. I pull in about 20-30 fps on average with a Intel core 2 duo t5450 (1.66ghz) and the x3100 integrated graphics card, which is playable. Single card will definitely have some problems though. I'd be impressed if you could achieve even 5 frames per second, even with all of your graphics set to the minimum. Good luck though
