The only known way to filter carbon mononxide is with a sheet of human skin.
The level of carbon monoxide poisoning plays a huge part in how long it takes for it to actually kill. It also depends on how strong the concentration is and how well the immune system handles things.
Sodium hydroxide granules absorb carbon dioxide.
Carbon filters function because of SURFACE presented to the filtered liquid/air. The greater the size of a filter, the greater the surface presented. The carbon in Carbon filters are often ground to a fine grain for the same reason, as the smaller the grain, the more surfaces per unit weight.
Aqua Pure water filters remove many contaminants. A carbon filter is especially used to remove bacteria while allowing the natural minerals to stay in your water.
a car exhaust is the pipe that sticks out of the back or sides of a car. There is a catalyst (an element) inside every exhaust in the world and what it does is act as a filter. For example a car engine produces both carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon monoxide (CO) and other products but they're not important in this case, a catalyst would hold some of the carbon in carbon monoxide to make more carbon dioxide. This means tat less deadly gases are released.

carbon monoxide is a rich indicator, if you are producing too much, you have a fuel system problem.
They filter carbon monoxide out of the air. Carbon Monoxide is a deadly gas, but it's invisible and doesn't have a smell. When too much of it gets in a room where it can't get away, you can die from it.

Fuel filter, air filter and carbon build up at or near exhaust port.
Air suction valve connected between air filter and exaust manifold.it converts carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide. sanjivkumar p kmnr kfi
Exhaust filter? Never heard of that filter.
not too sure what you want to know but i will explain the combustion process as best i can. gas car engines are a 4 stroke engine. the 4 strokes being: intake (down), compression (up), power (down), exhaust (up). engines operate off a reciprocating motion meaning the movement of one piston is the result of the opposite movement of a different piston. on the intake stroke the intake valve opens allowing fuel that has been mixed with air to be sucked into the cylinder by the downward travel of the piston (suction). on the compression stroke both the intake and exhaust valves are closed the piston travel back up with the air/fuel mixture in the cylinder. this compresses the air/fuel until he piston is at or near top dead center. then the spark from the spark plug ignites the air/fuel which causes a rapid expansion (not and explosion) or the air fuel thus pushing the piston down creating the power stroke. then the piston travels back up as the exhaust valve opens. the piston effectively pushes the spent air/fuel out of the cylinder. this is the basic principles of a internal combustion engine. now to more directly address your question. carbon monoxide is a by product of the air/fuel being burnt. the carbon monoxide (along with hydrocarbons and oxides of nitrogen) are pushed out on the exhaust stroke and into your exhaust system. it is the job of the catalytic converter to convert the carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide (a less harmful substance) it does this thanks to its chemical make up and elements that add an additional oxygen to monoxide to make it dioxide. its basically a filter for your exhaust.

It traps carbon particles from the exhaust stream of a diesel engine, and, during regeneration, serves as a combustion chamber to incinerate those particles.
