Yes, cats too can get depressed and this may be due to an environmental change such as something changing in its environment, it can be seasonal depression and the cat could be depressed due to climate change in having to be inside or it could be clinically depressed in which i suggest making a lifestyle change for your cat such as new food or playing with it more, etc.
