Yes cats can kill birds! Cats love birds and will chase them and possibly kill them. This is because cats are a carnivorous species which stalks small species - like birds - for food and fun. They have sharp claws and excellent balance, they can climb high in the trees in stalk of a bird in order to catch one.
Unfortunately they do.
They kill them because they can hunt them.
no birds cannot kill house cats but house cats can kill birds Not sure where you got your info from but I disagree. I lived in AZ by the mountains in the city mind you and hawks and owls are well known for killing cats most specially kittens. I know, I had one taken in my fenced back yard. So the answer is yes, birds can in fact kill house cats.
Stray cats are a problem because they kill song birds.
where i live, cats like to kill mice, birds, bugs (roaches). They may even kill a betta fish (my cat did)
It is not so much that dogs and cats eat kiwis, but that they kill the birds indiscriminately. They are among the biggest threats to the kiwi.
When sloths are on the ground they become very helpless and lots of animals can kill it including birds, cats etc.
My mom's cat doesn't But if I put the flash on top of the camera he runs away. And I think that may be a clue, cats don't understand a Camera, but the flash is like lightning and they know to hide from that.
They can kill mice, squirrel, chipmunks, birds, voles, fish, toads/frogs, and lizards. Some cats never kill any animal, but some do. Any cat can. And this is just a list of the most common animals cats kill. There are some more, but they are highly uncommon.
IF you can extrapolate that across the full year, that would be an average of 35.5 birds killed by each cat/each year. IF you can use that figure for all outdoor cats, you get a calculation of 4.1 billion birds killed each year.
There ARE cats and birds. I live here!
Cats have instinctive behavior and fast reflexes they can jump and dig their nails into the bird, pulling them down before the bird can take flight.
