Yes it can, if you alter the conditions. For instance, if you heat calcium carbonate strongly it will decompose to calcium oxide and water. Limestone is a form of calcium carbonate and we heat it on a large scale to manufacture calcium oxide (quicklime) which is an ingredient of cement, mortar and concrete.

CaCO3 à CaO + CO2but when concrete sets,. CaO + CO2à CaCO3 again.

Chemical changes can be reserved by physical change?

No, chemical changes can only be reversed by chemical means, not by physical means.

What changes can't be reversed by physical means?

Chemical Changes

Are chemical changes irreversible If yes then what about the chemical reactions that are reversible Don't we say that all chemical reactions are chemical changes?

some chemical changes can be reversed but they are hard to reverse usually

Explain Why physical changes can be reversed but chemical changes cannot?

Physical changes are generally easy to reverse because NO ENERGY is produced by the substance.A Chemical change cannot be reversed because ENERGY is produced by the substance forming a new substance.

How can chemical change be reserved?

Reversible changes are the chemical reactions that can be reversed, however most are non reversible. The ones that can be reversed is because the reaction can flow both ways.

Why physical changes can easily be reversed but why chemical cannot?

Is melting ice a chemical or physical change explain?

It is a physical change because when you have a chemical change it changes the properties and makes it into a new thing, and it can't be reversed. Physical changes are usually just changes of states (solid, liquid, gas) and a physical change can be reversed.

Is it correct to say that chemical changes are not reverisble but phycial changes are?

No, chemical reactions can be reversed. For example: 2H2O -> 2H2 + O2 can change back, 2H2 + O2 -> 2H2O

What is the difference between physically and chemical changes?

A chemical change is when something cannot be reversed and often a precipitate (solid) is formed. While a physical change can be reversed e.g bending a piece of wire.

Can a chemical change be reversed by a chemical change?

It Looks like your tryhing to cheat on Science TeeHee Chemical changes cannot be reversed but phyical changes can ! I disagree. Some chemical changes can be reversed. If you boil off the water and catch it in a container when it evaporates, the water will be back. If you then look at the bottom and possibly sides of your beaker there will be only salt left behind.
