With accompanying chlamydia infection, a topical antibiotic ointment containing erythromycin (Ilotycin) may be prescribed to be applied one to two times daily. In addition, oral erythromycin or tetracycline therapy may be indicated. While chlamydial conjunctivitis probably goes away on its own, you should see your health care provider for evaluation and treatmnt if you have chlamydia in your eyes. This problem is an indication that you need to be screened for other STDs.
The disease runs its course in about 10 days
Conjunctivitis caused by bacteria or a virus, if treated properly, is usually resolved in 10-14 days. If there is no relief of symptoms in 48-72 hours, or there is moderate to severe eye pain, changes in vision, or the conjunctivitis is suspected
A couple of days after you get the antibiotics. Just say pink eye....
"pink eye" is a common term for conjunctivitis. This condition has many causes, including some viruses. Viral conjunctivitis has a incubation period of between 12 hours and 3 days, and does not appear to remain latent after symptoms are resolved.

it should not quit working after 3 days if this is your first time taking it, you need to call your doctor about the dosage
You'll only get conjunctivitis from chlamydia if you transfer the bacteria to your eyes, such as touching your genitals and then touching your eyes without washing your hands first.
Yes it is possible - conjunctivitis is an infection. If you don't get treatment for it, it wont clear up. Your GP can give you cream that will take care of it in 5 days. With conjunctivities you will have a yellow discharge from your eye. With an allergy it will be clear and watery.
why for 10 days? are you having irreg heartbeats, side effects, etc? ask your doc to decrease dosage befor you stop taking altogether- how long have you been taking it?

Diagnosis depends upon tests performed on the discharge from the eye. Gram stains determine the type of microorganism, while culture and sensitivity tests determine which antibiotic will kill the harmful microorganism. Conjuntival scraping.
