Can conflict be avoidable

Conflict is part of the burden of life, the cross that we have all to bear. Because we are all made differently, have our own, particular past, we will mostly act in terms of our own self-interest. And acting in our own self-interest will in most instances produce conflict.

So what can we do but hope that sooner or later we find someone who, if we are willing to listen to them, is also willing to listen to us. For before we can resolve any conflict, we must learn how to listen. Nothing can be resolved unless the two complaints are on the table and both parties are listening to each other to resolve their conflict.
