Yes it can. Due to the pain of the 'cracked' (broken or contused) ribs, one tends to breath more shallowly and take less deep breaths. Normally deep breaths help to move the mucus that is formed in the airway up into the throat, where it is swallowed unnoticed.
If the formed mucus is not cleared properly it will accumulate in the lungs (due to gravity mostly in the lower lobes). This mucus is ideal for bacteria to grow in (warm and humid) and this may lead to a pneumonia
yes...if the person is not breathing normally pneumonia can form in the lungs..its is important to breathe and drink fluides when a rib fracture is present
yes your ribs can pierce your organs. a common example would be in a car crash. no seat belt and your ribs crack and your lungs and organs and whatever are thrown into the cracked lung piercing the organ!
Ribs that have a crack in them, but are not broken all the way through.
First, do not put off seeing a professional medical care provider. It is important now and for your future. Cracked ribs "under [the] left shoulder" sounds like an injury that is "too high" to affect the spleen. Your lungs are up there. Cracked ribs require diagnosis, and only a doctor or qualified professional can do this. The problem is that the cracked ribs may not be all that is wrong. And that is where they doctor is worth his weight in gold. Cracked ribs don't get a lot of "treatment" per se 'cause there isn't a lot that can be done to help them heal except for the patient to minimize movement. (No taping or wrapping.) A ruptured spleen means internal bleeding, and that is bad. Any diarrhea isn't caused from cracked ribs. That's a long stretch for a causal connection. Please go someplace and have yourself checked out. Be clear and honest about what happened so other damage can be diagnosed accurately. It's your health, and you only get one issue of it.
Yes, the heart is medial to the ribs. The ribs are lateral to the heart.
Yes. Costochondiritis is a painful inflammation of the ribs and tissues between the ribs.

You could have a knife sticking out your back, you should see a doctor.
I think it's your heart because its LHL (Lung, Heart, Lung) and then the ribs protect those organs.

Lungs; your ribs and spine would break.
The uppermost point, hence apex...of the lung
They could be an indication of lung damage, e.g. TB infection. But this is just a rough estimation, please refer to an expert radiologist for a professional medical consult
Look on the back side of the serpentine belt (the side of the belt with the ribs). If any of the ribs are cracked the belt should be replaced. Take a look at the physical condition. If it is cracked on the inside (groove or V side) it needs to be replaced.
After being a long time chain smoker John Wayne had his entire left lung and four ribs removed in 1964 because of lung cancer.
Bruising on the chest, broken xiphoid process, broken ribs
