Data can easily be processed by a person.

Everything you see, hear and feel is data in one way or another.

What you do in relation to this is processing this data.

Data is nothing more than information.

At school you process data all the time.

At home or at work you also process data all the time.

Even when you are asleep, your brain processes data.

A computer on the other hand can not process data by it self.

When we feed the computer automated data from various sources and make/use a program for this processing of data it will process data at an enormous speed compared with a human being.

As of today, a computer is performing specialized tasks, where as we humans can perform almost any task what so ever.

We humans are slower at many tasks but we will win over a computer by our ingenious ability to logically adapt to most any situation that occurs.

When we look at a picture, our brain "instantly" processes all available information and we know what the picture is all about almost in an instant.

We are in that aspect way beyond any computer as of today in the respect of processing image's.

The same count for Sound. We make sense out of sound instantly, where as a computer need to analyze and compare in a very time consuming process.
