Yes, technically depression can cause anger. Being depressed may cause impulsivity when exposed to stimuli. That impulsivity can come out in many ways. Anger, worse depression, suicidal thoughts, and maybe even humor. But if the stimuli causes the impulsivity to react strong enough, anger may come of it. Your answer is yes.

It is more likely that depression would cause them to crawl into bed and pull the covers up over their head! Depression makes you feel tired and sluggish, and causes a "slowed down" feeling. Most violent people are full of excess energy and anxiety. It is possible that someone who is depressed might be violent, but not very likely. There is probably some other factor causing this.
