It's never a good idea to give dogs fish fingers, or fish sticks (as more commonly called). It's not a good idea to give dogs any kind of people food, especially spicy or fatty foods, or any kind of bones. The bones can splinter in their mouth and cause punctures, or in their throat, esophogus, stomach and/or colon, which can result in serious illness or even death. Also, dogs can have food Allergies, just as people do. My own two pugs have numerous food allergies (milk, wheat, corn and eggs are some), so they have to be on a stictly controlled diet. Check with your vet to see which brand and type (dry, semi-moist, canned) dog food s/he recommends. Make sure it is a complete and balanced food, which will give them all the nutrients they need.
One can find more information about fish heads at the safe to eat fish website. The "safe to eat fish" website tells all the healthy fish in addition to information about types of fish heads.

Why raw shrimp heads are a bad idea for dogs ❌ Risk of bacteria & parasites Raw shrimp (especially the head) can carry harmful bacteria like Salmonella or Listeria, and parasites that can upset your dog’s stomach or cause infection. ❌ Sharp parts = choking hazard Shrimp heads contain hard, sharp shells and spines that can: • Scratch the mouth or throat • Cause choking • Damage the digestive tract ❌ High toxin concentration The shrimp’s head contains organs that can accumulate toxins and contaminants, which is riskier than the shrimp meat itself. ❌ Shellfish allergies Some dogs are sensitive or allergic to shellfish. Raw forms increase the risk of a bad reaction. ✅ Can dogs eat shrimp at all? Yes—but only if prepared safely. ✔️ Safe shrimp rules for dogs • Fully cooked (boiled or steamed) • No head • No shell or tail • No seasoning, salt, garlic, or butter • Served in small portions Shrimp meat is actually: • Low in fat • High in protein • Rich in vitamin B12 and omega-3s 🚨 Signs your dog ate raw shrimp head Watch for: • Vomiting • Diarrhea • Drooling • Lethargy • Pawing at the mouth If symptoms appear, contact your vet 🐶 Bottom line • ❌ Raw shrimp heads → Not safe • ✅ Cooked, plain shrimp meat → Safe in moderate, if u want furthur info click this: pawjoypk/com
