Two foods primarily make acid reflux worse: acid foods and Alcoholic Beverages.

Regular tea has acid in it, so will be a problem if you have acid reflux. Coffee is worse, and soda pop is really bad. Orange juice, tomato products are bad, too.

How To Create an Acid Reflux Treatment at Home?

Acid reflux is something that’s extremely common but it’s not too enjoyable for the people that do have to deal with it. Medication for acid reflux can be expensive, and some people may have to be on it permanently or for a long period of time. These are several suggestions for effectively treating acid reflux, and going on with your daily life. Of course these are not miracle remedies, and some of them may not even work for you at all. However, if you’re experiencing worsened symptoms, or if you experience them quite often, consulting a physician may be a good idea. Drinking a Glass of Milk Lots of people can vouch for milk treating acid reflux. The treatment is almost instantaneous, and the temperature of the milk also soothes the throat and chest. Drinking Water Usually, drinking water dilutes the stomach acid that is causing you such turmoil. It helps to wash down anything else that is bothering you, and drinking one or two large glasses directly after your meal will help to prevent and stop heartburn or acid reflux. Eating Almonds Some people have claimed that almonds can work wonders for acid reflux. A person with acid reflux will chew a few in the morning and maybe a few after dinner, and they have been said to dramatically improve the symptoms of acid reflux. Chamomile Chamomile provides soothing effects that have been said to help treat acid reflux. The drink is not meant to be drunk like a normal liquid. It should be slowly sipped, and the temperature should not be too warm or too cold. Eating Apples Apples have also been said to alleviate acid reflux symptoms. Eating an organic apple after a meal has been said to work wonders with calming and preventing acid reflux symptoms. Candied Ginger Chewing a piece of candied ginger will help to fight the acid reflux symptoms once they begin to kick in. If you’re not too keen on ginger, you can let a piece sit, soften and disperse in a glass of tea before drinking. Using Apple Cider Vinegar If you’re experiencing feisty symptoms of acid reflux, swallow a few table spoons of apple cider vinegar to calm things down. It can also be dissolved in a glass of warm water to help prevent future symptoms.

Is apple cider vinegar good for acid reflux?

Vinegar is not meant for babies. This is a strong liquid that would take the breath away from a baby if they inhale it. It is safe enough to use for washing clothes or for bathing of the skin in a diluted manner however.

How to Naturally Prevent and Treat Acid Reflux?

Most people will experience acid reflux on occasion in their lives. When too much acid is produced due to eating certain foods, the acid produced is pushed back into the esopagous, causing what is commonly referred to as heartburn. While this condition is uncomfortable, in and of itself it is not dangerous; however, if you experience significant discomfort as a result of acid reflux, or your acid reflux condition persists for many days in a row or occurs often, you may have a condition known as GERD. If you have GERD, it is very important to speak with a health professional to discuss treatment options. With that said, there are a number of ways to naturally treat acid reflux. Of course, the first and most straightforward option is to alter your diet. Foods that have a high acidic content are more likely to cause acid reflux. One thing to take note of is that even foods that do not seem like they would cause acid reflux can do so. For example, ground beef, mashed potatoes, and ice cream can all cause acid reflux. Replacing these foods with things like apples, green beans, and skinless chicken can assist in preventing acid reflux. Essentially, consuming alkaline foods over acidic foods is the key.Almonds are known to ease the effects of acid reflux. It is recommended to chew a few almonds after each meal to avoid having an acid reflux flareup. These nuts need to be chewed very well in order to be highly effective. Fennel tea and chamomile tea have also been known to offer relief from acid reflux when sipped slowly. Finally, the amount of water you consume each day can affect how strong the acid in your stomach is. By consuming more water, you are essentially diluting the acid content.Whether eaten whole, consumed as tea, or as a supplement, ginger can also be used to prevent and treat acid reflux, as can apple cider vinegar. Organic apple cider vinegar can be mixed with a glass of water and ingested before or after a meal. The enzymes in the pulp affect the amount of acid your stomach produces. Finally, something as simple as chewing gum can help to quell symptoms of acid reflux. This works by using your saliva to dilute the acid in your stomach.
