Driving with bad bearings is generally a bad idea. If the bearing seizes solid, (usually) the inner race will begin to spin on the axle, damaging the bearing seat.

What is the difference between four wheel high and low?

Four wheel drive high is used for everyday purposes such as driving on a snow packed road or light off roading. Four wheel drive low is for special circumstances such as getting out of deep mud and snow or towing a trailer up a steep hill. Four wheel drive should never be used on bare, dry pavement. Use two wheel drive in this circumstance. You will completely ruin your transfer case by using four wheel drive on pavement.

How do you change front wheel bearings on 2003 Lancer ES?

LANCER wheel bearings Replacement. Lancer 2000 model, changing front wheel bearings. It is a cvt. Remove tires. Remove 2 pcs 17mm nuts holding the brake calipers and hang the caliper assembly with a wire or tie wrap (to prevent tension on brake hose). Remove 12mm nut holding the abs sensor and carefully pry the sensor out (perfect time to clean the sensor with brake cleaner during reassembly). Remove tie rod end bolt and pry lose the tie rod (perfect time to check tie rods for looseness, change it but mark the thread for reassembly). Remove ball joint nut and macpherson strut nuts. Finally- pull out the whole wheel assembly and bring it to a press shop and instruct to change bearings. Only a heavy duty press machine can remove it. Your puller will break. The age of the car makes it almost impossible for a home mechanic to remove the wheel bearing due to excessive rust buildup. Excessive pounding and hammering will only worsen the situation.

How do you remove a cam that's stuck on a 350 Chevy engine?

Depending on what's actually stuck, you may have to pull the rear freeze plug and drive the cam out. Must have the lifters completely out of the way and the timing chain removed. If the cam is stuck to a cam bearing, driving out the cam will ruin the cam bearings, and you may have to cut them off from underneath.

Why does my Subaru shake?

If it is shaking while you are driving, it could be a number of things. Because subarus are all wheel drive, having different sized tires on the front and back will make the car shake, as well as ruin your transmition. It could also be a wheel bearing. The rack and pinion may have to be replaced. Also, check to see if your CV joints are in good condition. You may even have to have your wheel aligned. Try troubleshooting with your repair manual.
