Hi there! I'm 20 years old height: 71 inches and weight 147 lbs. I'm an ectomorph! Something you need to know that everyone can gain weight either fast or slow depend on body-type, which I am high metabolism and I feel hungry every 3-4 hours. I don't even eat breakfast on morning, ONLY few times (like 3 times in 1 month). I only eat lunch and dinner which include only 3 meals a day.

First step: All I do is eat food that gave you calories(eat a lot of chips) and protein( red meat, chicken, and fish).

Second step: I just hit the gym like 3-4 times a week for every 1 hour everyday. Pre-work out I eat 40 minutes before work out and immediate after post workout. (don't use supplements) I gain from 134-147 lbs. in 4 month. Start from December 22, 2010 through March 23, 2011.

I look like a stick before 2010, and now I look like stick but bigger stick for now because my height and 147 lbs still skinny. My hand are longer and small, but my body just put some meat in it. My shoulders are small/narrow is make me look even skinner like a small rectangular. Everyone around me usually call me "skinny giant" or "how is weather up there."

My points is that I am ectomorph and I can gain 13 lbs. in 4 month with hard work and time spending in gym and money for food to eat. So can you! You have to make a commitment on what you do to change your body. Your body doesn't change itself unless you do something about it.

Some people born with sexy looking body and lean muscle mass even they don't going to the gym or eat healthy and still look their best. I say " they are dam lucky". We need to work our way through to change and still is not prefect like THEM. But everything will be fine that life make you to be you. If everyone look the same in this world, No one can't identify who you are :). Everyone born in different shape and size, tall and short, skinny and fat, big and small, pretty and ugly. When I say this is too point out the most important things is that you might not be prefect for someone that are look better than you, but you are prefect for someone that less unfortune than you. Look on positive side, some people born to look really ugly or mental illness or disable.

What are the differences in body types between endomorphs, mesomorphs, and ectomorphs, and how do these differences impact fitness and nutrition strategies?

Endomorphs tend to have a higher body fat percentage and struggle with weight loss, mesomorphs have a more muscular build and can gain or lose weight easily, and ectomorphs are typically lean with difficulty gaining muscle mass. These body types impact fitness and nutrition strategies by requiring tailored approaches such as focusing on strength training for endomorphs, a balanced mix of cardio and strength training for mesomorphs, and a higher calorie intake with a focus on muscle-building exercises for ectomorphs.

Can trying to gain weight lead to a eating disorder?

Yes it can. If you start counting calories it's easy to get obsessed by it. In order to gain weight, or loose it, you don't need to do that.

Ectomorph is the lean body type. This body type has long small muscles, extended arms and legs and a slim/slender body.
