Energy drinks containing ephedra may make you test positive for stimulants as ephedra is a precursor to methamphetamine. In the United States, ephedra is illegal in over-the-coutner energy drinks and other products.

Legally available energy drinks are a mixture of sugars, B-vitamins, amino acids, and caffiene. With the exception of the caffiene, all these supplements are things your body normally needs, but not in the high doses provided in the beverage. They may make you test positive for internal metabolic disorders, but not illegal drugs.

There's a lot of urban myths about how to accelerate detox.

Almost none of them are true.

The time your body needs to get rid of the drug and its metabolites (that's's the stuff the drug decomposes to) depends mainly on substance (what drug) and dosage (how musch did you take) and frequency (ho often did you take it).

The more you consume, the more often you consume the longer it will take to get out of your system. Different drugs are metabolized (taken apart by your body and then thrown out) at different rates. Same goes for the metabolites themselves (what most drug-tests test for).

The phenethylmine-type drugs (amphetamine, meth, xtc, ...) take 2-4 days for their metabolite-concentration in your urine to drop beneath threshold level - unless you hit meth 5 times a day for some weeks...

One average joint smoked on Saturday night will most likely not show up in urine tests after 6-8 days - if it was the only joint in weeks. If you smoke on a daily basis for several months the metabolites build up in high concentrations in your body fat. And are released at a veeery slow rate... can take months to get a clean test.

AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO SPEED THAT UP. NO, NOT EVEN BY BUYING DE-TOX TEA OR THE LIKE!

don't waste your money on clean-your-body-to-fool-drug-screening-products and, please, don't ruin your health by doing some obscure cleansing rites you found on the web (like going to a 100°C sauna for hours and drinking 10 litres of water - doing stuff like that can kill you - way faster and nastier than an overdose)

No, drugs tests look for THC and unless you're drinking some weird energy drink then I don't think you have to worry about it. Some drug tests may look for the mineral Niacin which helps clean out your system of marijuana but you shouldn't have to worry about it.

Well I recommend not using energy drinks as for nuber of results had shown it does have alcohal in it.
