Hi there,
I had my tubes cut and cauterized almost four years ago and I am currently pregnant...for the second time since the tubal was performed! Yes! It's true! I had my tubes cut (almost an inch out of each tube), and burnt and my tubes grew back together. What most doctors don't tell you is that there is a .50% chance! Also, both of those pregnancies were not eptopic, they were in the uterus. So, Yes it is possible!

∙ 12y agoSure can! I'm living proof! I had a my tubes cut (about an inch on each tube cut out), and cauterized almost four years ago. I am currently pregnant the second time since the surgery. It's only a .50% chance. Notice the point. I guess I was one of the lucky ones! :)

∙ 14y agoI have done alot of research trying to find this answer all I have found is more confusion I had my tubes cut burnt and tied going n 6 years now I am going on 4 wks late breast are sore and bigger than they normally are I feel like I am going to throw up all the time I am tired all the time What I found on line has been Nothing is 100% except not having sex well that is not going to work for me I have tried to get answers could I be pregnant I have never been late before except for when I was .I have also found that 4 out of every 1000 could get pregnant after a TL so please if anyone has the medical answer for all of us I know I am listening ?

Having your tubes tied is a means of permanent birth control, so if you have had that procedure done, then no, you cannot get pregnant. If they only removed 1.5 mms of your fallopian tubes, then it is possible for you to get pregnant, especially if you are still having your period. Speak to your gynecologist or talk to your surgeon at a post-op appointment

You could possibly be pregnant because there is always a chance of getting pregnant even with a form of protection. You should call to make an appointment as soon as possible to get checked for any problems with the surgeory and to check for pregnancy.

I had my tubes cut tied and burnt in Sept 03. I got pregnant with my son in June of 06. The doctor swore i had a hole in my tubes and that it would never happen again. I was pregnant again in August of 07. I miscarried that baby. The doctor still stuck by his word that my tubes were still tied it wouldn't happen again. I am now pregnant for the third time since my tubal. Guess the doc was wrong.
