"i think it does."pls expand on this statement. i have high blood pressure and have been prescribed to take daily metropolol tablets since 2008. i have been recently diagnosed with osteoperosis and have been prescribed to take alendronate sodium tablets once a week - which i have been taking for about two weeks now. i was also recently prescribed daily phentamine, which i had to discontinue because i suffered extreme vertigo and vomitting that caused me to be admitted at the ER. i have had to temporarily halt working because i am stil very light headed and cannot function in the field (which is about 80% of my work requirement). now, my dr has prescribed me to take hydrochlorothiazide once a day. how are all these darned pills affecting my high blood...is there anyway to rid them all?
yes very much
Your doctor will evaluate your individual case and decide which medication is best for your blood pressure. What works for one will not work for everyone.
A drug prescribed for high blood pressure.
If you were prescribed "high blood pressure medicine" it doesn't necessarily mean you have high blood pressure. Many medications have multiple uses. Propranolol is a common medicine prescribed to control high blood pressure but it is also prescribed to control stage fright and also to prevent migraines. The best way to know for sure is ask your doctor.
