*If the flatfooted condition is mild then it is possible that some branches of the United States Military will allow you to enlist. The US Army and US Marines are less likely to accept people with mild flatfoot then the US Navy or US Air Force.

*All branches of the United States Military will not accept people that are severely flatfooted (except rare cases like a specialists in a certain field of study.) Having fallen arches or "flatfooted" is a medical condition and can cause problems with standing, walking and running for long periods. Because this medical condition can cause limitations, that is the reason the US Military does not want these people.

Well you should be fit in order to fight- I mean like if your trying to fight like in combat than I dont think you should do that... try avoiding the army. There are many other oppurtunities in the world

you can get a waiver for it and you can join the navy

Traditionally, when the draft was in effect, flat-footedness would result in 4F status, "Unfit for Military Service." This is no longer true.

Even though you are flat footed you can still join the marines, they just won't let you go into some combat situation because you can't run long distances.
