I don't think so. The earth doesn't have to touch a rock in order for

the force of gravity to pull the rock towards the earth.

A magnet doesn't have to touch a paper clip in order to pick it up

off the table and pull it all the way to the magnet.

How do balanced forces affect an objects motion?

Balanced forces applied on both sides of an object cause it to be still. Unbalanced forces will cause the object to move away from the strongest force.

What two forces can affect an objects velocity?

Two forces that can affect an object's velocity are acceleration and friction. Acceleration can increase or decrease the velocity of an object, while friction can slow down the object's motion by opposing its direction of movement.

What are forces vectors and how do they affect the motion of objects?

Force vectors are quantities that have both magnitude and direction, representing the push or pull on an object. They affect the motion of objects by changing their speed, direction, or both. Forces can cause objects to accelerate, decelerate, change direction, or remain at rest.

What is the difference between centripetal and centrifugal forces and how do they affect the motion of objects?

Centripetal forces pull objects towards the center of rotation, keeping them in circular motion. Centrifugal forces push objects away from the center, counteracting centripetal forces. Together, they balance to maintain the object's circular path.

Describe two forces that can affect an objects velocity?

Friction and Gravity are the two forces that affects an object's velocity. Friction is caused by both air and the surface on which an object is moving. Gravity is caused by Earth.

Balance forces have what affect on an objects motion?

"Balanced forces" means a set of forces that add up to zero. This group of forces acting on a single object have no effect on its motion, because they add up to zero, and their effect is equivalent to zero force on the object.

How do balanced forces acting on objects affect its motion?

When the forces acting on an object are balanced, they cancel each other out and the result is no change in its motion.Balanced forces have no effect on motion. Unbalanced forces cause acceleration.

What is change in an objects motion?

Change in an object's motion refers to any alteration in its velocity or direction of movement. This can be caused by forces acting on the object, such as friction, gravity, or external pushes or pulls. Newton's laws of motion explain how forces affect the motion of objects.

How do unbalanced forces effect an objects motion?

If the [group of] forces on an object is unbalanced, the object accelerates.

Can you able to see all of the forces that affect an object?

No, we cannot see all of the forces that affect an object because some forces, like gravity or magnetic forces, are invisible to the naked eye. However, we can observe the effects of these forces on the object's motion or behavior.

Why is frictional force known as action at a distance force?

It's not. For there to be friction, there must be nodistance between the objects (surfaces) in question. Action at a distance forces are forces like gravity and electromagnetism. These forces can affect the state of an object with no media attached to the object.

How do balanced forces acting on an object affect its motion. How do unbalanced forces acting on an object affect its motion?

Balanced forces do not change its motion (no acceleration). Unbalanced forces changes the motion of the object (acceleration).
