The standard 18 column ones have hydrogen on the left, but, a geologists' periodic table may have more (sorry, I'm not a geologist, I just know there is such a thing). But I think you mean the everyday periodic table... So yes, hydrogen.
Gases can be found on both the left and right sides of the periodic table. The noble gases (Group 18) are on the far right side, while other gases such as hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and the halogens (Group 17) can be found on the left and right sides of the periodic table.

If you go all the way to the right side of the periodic table you get to the noble gases, which don't oxidize, but just before that, on the right but not all the way to the right, are the oxidizing elements such as oxygen. Metals are on the left.
