You should NEVER mix any type of oils / fluids.
If it is slipping in gear or any out of the ordinary rough shifting.....
That depends on the transmission and rear end gear ratios. The manufacturer should have specified a towing capacity for the vehicle - check your owner's manual.
because your retaining nut came off fifth gear
if you got an automatic depending on what gear it is you may need a 2800 or 3500 rpm stall in your torque converter call a transmission shop if that's it they will help you
if you drive too aggressive when in 2nd gear it will miss 3rd gear and you must let off and let the rpms fall down to around 3500 and let it shift. The kickdown cable is broken or out of alignment, check it, replace if needed. or... your transmission may be effed
03 chevy trailblazer gear shfiter moves but truck does not go in gear
97 Chevy Z71 truck will not shift into third gear.
what type of gear oil to use in 2003 chevy tahoe 4wd
I had a dodge diesel 3500 I had to weld it
85W90 gear oil.
Most Chevy/GMC rearends will fit as long as they are the same series, 1500/2500/3500, but the most important thing is you MUST find one that has the same gear ratio as your front axle. Also look at Suburbans, similar chassis.
All you need to do is call a Chevy dealer and give them the VIN# and asked them what the gear ratio is in your truck and they will tell you what the factory gear ratio is.
