There are a few diseases that can hop from cattle to goats, but they are relatively few. For the most part, you can pasture goats and cattle together and not worry about disease transmission between the two.
Yes they can but plants that are toxic to goats will make them very sick - scours, liver problems even death.

As long as you dont get too violently sick, try eating goats cheese. Some people that are intollerant to cows cheese find they can eat goats with no problems. It may be worth a go.
