Well, it depends on your religious beliefs. If you believe in an omnipotent, all-knowing god who judges you for your actions, as many Christians, Jews, and Muslims do, then sure, you would believe that god can be disappointed in you.
Personally, I believe that it's important to live life by your own moral standards, not in fear of divine wrath. Do what you think is right, not what you think will please a man in the sky who may or may not exist. ********************************************************************* To be disappointed means that ones expectations have not been met...For instance, when my daughter comes home with a report card that has grades below her ability. I become disappointed because her grades are below her ability which surprises me. The Great News is that God can not be disappointed in me or anyone! The reason being is because God is outside of time, therefore nothing is a surprise to a God who is outside of time! God is all knowing...He is not surprised by anything. Which means we don't need to live life feeling guilty!
I suppose you could try. Don't be too disappointed when nothing happens.
Be happy for him; God knows the boy needs a little love. Although I will be slightly disappointed. ;)
The person was very disappointed when he did not get the lottery. It is an example sentence for disappointed.
more disappointed
She felt disappointed when she didn't receive the promotion she had been working hard for.
In my opinion, it means that the fact God is not yet disappointed in man, He is blessings us with having children, to be able to have them and to be able to become parents and guardians, and bestowed upon us this great responsibility and honor. Had He been disappointed, He would take away blessings of being able to have children, not have the honor of being parents and guardians, and thus mankind dies as it becomes extinct.
God will take care of you, not people. Never put your faith and hope in man or you could be greatly disappointed. God loves you and will provide your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus. Be blessed :)
