So to answer your question, God is our heavenly Father, and like any Father, he tells us what is good for us. However we cannot blame any parent whose children have decided to no longer live according to the education that the parents have taken their time and love to give them. Any parent will willingly open their arms to any child who is willing to be reconciled with them. And that is exactly what Jehovah God wants us to do, confirmed in the Book of 2 Corinthians 5: 18,19 in these words. " But all things are from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of the reconciliation, namely, that God was by means of Christ reconciling a world to himself, not counting their offenses against them. Isn't that wonderful to have a clean slate in God's eyes? 2'000 years ago God sent his precious Son to earth to redeem the human race from the curse of sin and death and to undo the damage caused by Satan in the garden of E'den. " The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it", which has always been God's purpose.
