The general rule is: dogs should not eat chocolates. Chocolate contains theobromine, which is toxic to dogs. Many large dogs can handle a small amount of chocolate without dying if they should accidentally eat some, but you should not give your dog chocolates... it would be like giving your mother "just a little" arsenic, because she keeps begging for it.
