Yes you should feed them to hamsters because they are vital to tissue development and growth especially with young stock and pregnant mothers but all hamsters differ in what they like to eat so make sure you experiment with many different veggies and fruits!
I think your not supposed to feed your hamster some vegetables and most fruits if it has Diabetes I'm pretty sure it includes peas but im not entireley sure you should do some more research on your own.
