It depends how you define 'fat', compared to rats or gerbils, hamsters have chunky and compact bodies, it is simply how they are built. All hamsters love to run around and "work out", but no matter how many hours you let them run around in their exercise balls, they will still retain that natural, healthy roundness.
everyday. a hamster needs it's exercise a lot. I hope i helped.
Exercise wheels.

no
Epona does not get fat, no matter how long you leave her by herself. I assume she eats a lot of grass and does a lot of exercise by herself.
yes if you eat a lot of unhealthy food and don't exercise.
You can get medication from a special doctor or surgery. To prevent it, exercise a lot and don't build fat. Fat is what blocks your arteries that causes Heart disease.
well in the summer i make a run that i put my guinea pigs in and they exercise for about 5 hours each day at the weekends. But when i'm working they are in their run for about 1-2 hours when i get home. I hope this helps.
You can get fat from eating ANY food if you do not exercise enough. Cookies and milk are high in calories, so take a lot of exercise to use those calories.
a lot there are the bigger hamsters and the dwarf hamsters
maybe because if they get too fat they even be able to move so you wouldn't have fun watching it exercise on the wheel
Yes, hamsters are known to climb the inside of their cages. It's a natural behavior for them and can provide mental stimulation and exercise. Make sure the cage has plenty of safe climbing options for your hamster.
