Best Answer

It has to be pretty cold to be a solid in the first place, -272'C. As it goes above this temperature it will melt to a liquid, but will then vaporise to the gas form we are most familiar with at -269'C.

Solid helium is unknown even at low temperatures.
Liquid helium changes to gas while heating.

Can helium be turned into ice?

No, helium will turn into a cryogenic 'liquid' not ice, as it is cooled to extremely low temperature's.

What is the word equation for liquid helium?

There is no word equation, except that helium will exist as liquid phase in liquid helium

Is helium gas liquid or gas?

It is a gas.Its boiling point is near absolute zero.so very difficult to turn even to liquid

What is colder helium or hydrogen?

Liquid Helium is colder than Liquid Hydrogen.

How do you separate oxygen and helium gases?

They have different condensation points. Oxygen will turn into a liquid at a higher temperature than helium.

Is liquid helium boiling a physical property?

Yes. conversion of liquid helium to gaseous helium is a physical property

What would happen if you poured liquid helium into liquid nitrogen?

The liquid helium would boil and evaporate.

What is the liquid and solid of helium?

Above -268.93 °C, helium is gas. Below -268.93 °C, helium is liquid. Helium cannot exist as solid.

Is liquid helium a true substance?

Yes it is. Helium will be liquid below -268.93 °C

What will helium turn into when it freezes?

Theoretically, helium will turn into a solid, but because helium's freezing point is so low (less than -272 oC) and the lowest temperature is -273 oC (0 K), that doesn't happen. When helium is a liquid, which happens after it condenses, it acts as a superfluid, defying gravity and seeping through containers.

Is helium a liquid at room temperature?

what is the density of helium at room temperature?

Which liquid boils the quickest?

Liquid helium in the helium I phase boils at about 5 K, lower than any other substance. (Liquid helium in the helium II phase does not boil, it simply evaporates. Helium is truly weird stuff at very low temperatures.)
