The only time when a Hindu women is not allowed to do rituals is when she is in her monthly periods. Rest of the time, Hindu women are equally eligible with the men to perform rituals and daily devotions. This might be completely wrong because many of the Hindu Gods are females (Goddesses) and therefore, it doesn't make sense to not allow women to do what men can. But as I said, in general, only during a women's period, she is not allowed to come near any holy places or idols because a female in her period was considered unholy back in the days.
