In theory it could insulate the copper slightly and if the copper warmed up enough it could cause slight changes in current. If we are not talking about driving the wire to extreme loads, then no.

How do resistors affect a circuit?

It reduces the current. As the current travels through the resitors it has some current that is left in the resistor. And

Why is a fuse wire necessary in a circuit?

a fuse wire melts when current passing through it exceeds a certain value as in overloading and short circuiting .this breaks the circuit prventing further current flow and damage ..

How does the temperature of a material affect the speed of the passing through it?

Temperature is a fact for speed. Speed is increasing with the temperature.

How does resisitance affect currents?

The higher the resistance the less current can pass through therefore the current will be lower.

When a person touches the water on the ground with the current flowing through it from a broken wire will it affect him?

It's not the current flowing through the water that the person has to worry about . . .it's the current flowing through the person. So we have to ask whether there's acomplete circuit through him. Where are his feet ? When he touches the water, ifthere's a voltage difference between the tip of his finger and his feet, then somecurrent will flow through him, which may be a surprise or even a shock to him.Remember . . . a bird can sit on a bare high-voltage wire with no problem, and alineman in the extended bucket of an insulated cherry-picker can handle a bareenergized primary line with no problem. They just have to be careful that currentwould have no place to go if it entered them.

How does back emf affect starter motors?

Actually when the permanent coil dc motor rotates in magnet field by providing current an emf is induced in coil in the opposite direction of current in the coil by faraway law. this result in a torque in opposite direction. for example he the applied voltage is 10volts and the resistance is 10ohms theories current would be 10A. it is at time is zero it means when the switched is just on or circuit is just closed. if the induced emf is 10volts them the effective voltage will be 90volts. now he we calculate the current by ohms law the current will be 9A. This shows that at time is equal to zero the naughty current is passing through coil as the time pass amount of current passing through the coil will become less or minimum. As current and force are direct related the torque will become minimum. here the angular acceleration is decreasing it is not retarded. -:D
