Yes, there have been a scattered few circumstances where that did happen. They were living closely with people with the flu, in the bed with them, etc. and caught the flu from them. A few cats and ferrets also have caught it from owners living very closely with them. The symptoms in dogs are similar to those in humans or in dogs with Bordetella (Kennel Cough) or canine flu (also going around). Veterinarians suggest staying away from pets, just like from people, while you are in the contagious stages of the flu.
Dogs have stronger natural resistance to viruses, but they will still get sick now and again. A dog can get the flu, but it might not catch the flu strains that people suffer from.
Yes, according to my vet dogs can transmit colds to humans but humans cannot transmit them to dogs
Yes, there are several strains of canine influenza that circulate through dog populations.
No, dogs can not catch the flu viruses from humans, their genes are different than ours.
No, veterinarian said humans cannot catch anything a dog get and vise versa. Dogs have a completely different system than humans.
It depends what virus. Ex: parvo- no; rabies- yes.
Dogs can not get the flu from humans but they can get flu from other dogs.
Hope I helped
It is possible for diseases/bacteria to move from animal to animal. Or, dog to dog.
No
They transmit diseases mainly through bites.
Yes, Dengue fever is a disease caused by one of a number of viruses that are carried by mosquitoes. These mosquitoes then transmit the virus to humans.
To the best of my knowledge, no - I can't think of a viral respiratory illness in which the same virus infects both humans and dogs. Both humans and dogs can become sick with influenza, but the viruses are different (humans tend to get H1 and H2 versions while dogs currently have an H3N9 version running around).
the answer is no check out this article:www.petstyle.com/dog/health_well_article.aspx?id=189§ion=Health%20amp%20Safety
i think its HIV virus as till now i have'nt heard of animals being affected by this virus !
These infected animals could efficiently transmit the virus to uninfected animals housed with them. This finding is similar to that of SARS transmission in humans in which SARS-CoV can be quickly spread from person to person through close contact. However, the virus cannot be transmitted from animal to human

Mammals in most cases are susceptible to the same viruses.
Saliva does not transmit HIV.
Dogs, bats, wolves, cattles, foxes, raccoons, and coyotes, but they are not insects. These animals are infected by rabies and can transmit to humans.
Chickenpox is caused by a type of herpes virus. Dogs can be infected with different kinds of herpes viruses to humans, which will usually produce different signs to those of chickenpox in humans. For example Canine Herpesvirus I can cause weakness, depression, nasal discharge, haemorrhage and eye lesions in puppies.
You can only transmit chickenpox if you are infected with the virus yourself.
