You can yes, but the exo skeleton of those black beetle are so thick, that most gecko species do not enjoy eating them. Remove them from the enclosure, if the beetle gets hungry there has been cases that they bite the eye of the reptiles whilst sleeping.

What kind of vegatation does a leopard gecko eat?

Leopard geckos are strictly insectivores relying on insects and creepy crawlies for nutrients. I have heard of some leopard geckos feeding on repashy meal replacement powder. Try coating your crickets with this powder to get the leopard gecko customed to it first. then provide it in a bowl once or twice a month as a treat.

What is leopard gecko's meal replacement powder?

Leopard gecko meal replacement powder is a specially formulated nutritional supplement designed to provide essential vitamins, minerals, and protein for leopard geckos, particularly when whole live insects are not available. This powder can be mixed with water to create a paste or fed dry, serving as a convenient alternative to ensure a balanced diet. It typically includes ingredients such as insect protein, calcium, and vitamins to support the gecko's health and growth. However, it should not completely replace live food, which provides important behavioral enrichment.

Can leopard gecko pink mice?

Leopard geckos shouldn't always be fed pinkys as they are very fattening. but if your gecko NEEDS a pinky, it should either be very hungry ad go for it as soon as you drop it in front of him/her but if not use feeding tongs to make the pinky look like its wriggling in front of your gecko that should do it.

What can geckos eat other than insects?

In what I know, leopard geckos eat veggies. I hope that helps! leopard geckos still eat insects. go with a crested gecko they can eat crested gecko diet, that is powder that you mix with water and they eat fruit and yogurt but mainly feed him the diet, and if you can try giving him a cricket or two every two weeks but its not nessesary, they're better than leopard geckos cause of their diet, and while a leopard gecko would sit and look pretty a crested gecko actually moves, their housing is usually cheaper because they're aborial and need a tall tank insted of a long one like a leopard gecko's. and rainforest tanks for cresteds look better than desert style tanks for leopard geckos. and cesteds come in more varieties including yellow with black spots if you like the leopard look, to me they are better to handle when you learn how to handle them than leopards, just observe tem in the tank and watch the pose they go into before they jump that way when you handle them you can know when to stop them and block their path before they jump, don't worry they take their sweet time in getting ready for a jump, but for safety handle them close to the floor and preferably over carpet hope this helps you

Is a leaf tailed gecko an omnivore?

No. Geckos are strictly carniverous. They feed on live food. This can be crickets, locusts and mealworms. These can be bought from reptile/pet stores. I would advise finding a live food supplier before buying your gecko. Pinky mice can also be fed to a full grown gecko, but this is against the law in the UK.
