That is a very touchy subject. Do you know for a fact she is anorexic? Or does she just look thin? If you are not sure, then do not say anything. Also, if you do not know her personally, it can be very awkward and uncomfortable and actually quite rude if you just approach her. Until you have more information or begin to know her personally, avoid the topic.
I guess if they tease them then they are just jealous of them. For Example, If someone teased you because YOU were anerexic, you would not appreciate it but you would know they were just jealous. Although I must admit, the anorexic teenager, should probably get some help to try and gain weight, believe me I would know. I know a girl who stopped eating and went anorexic, she then got very sick and almost died! Lucky they got her to a hospital in time. Trust me, that person should not be jealous because they should know if they were anorexic, they have the chance to die. The anorexic girl could also die. Therefore, if you were a good enough friend, you would get her some help.
Anorexia and bulimia are very serious eating disorders. People who are anorexic or bulimic can lose as much or as little weight possible. Some people can be 10 pounds underweight, some can be 40 pounds underweight. If you know someone who is anorexic or bulimic tell them that you are worried about them and strongly encourage them to get professional help.
Yes it can. Theoretically, it could start at any age. When a woman or man feels self conscious, that is one negative possibility. I knew someone in 6th grade who was anorexic. It's a terrible, terrible disease and requires immediate attention. If you think you , or someone you know may be suffering from this, it is important to tell someone immediately to get them help to prevent death or getting harmed.
the percent of girls that are anorexic is 90% the other 10% are boys (i know this for a fact)
No, anorexic people do not eat kitchen roll. I know this because i am anorexic and i haven't eaten kitchen roll since... forever!
Yes, you can get your sims (sims3) anorexic, you can look on YouTube how, i don't know.. Sorry, but it is very possible.
when you start looking anorexic
How do you know when someone like you? I will know if someone like me, I could tell when every time you see each other they ask your inner feelings, smiling and thee eyes straight on you. Offer to help and makes your feeling special and give your way out gracefully. Sorry, but you can't. A person suffering from an eating disorder, especially one as serious and dangerous as anorexia, needs a lot of professional help to recover. It cannot be done by one person, or even in a short amount of time. Answer The anorexic needs to be ready for recovery. I'm anorexic myself and I'm not ready for help yet, even when it gets really bad. There's no way to persuade them either, constantly mentioning it may cause unnecessery pressure on them. You can't do anything to help other than let them know that if they need to talk you'll be there. (P.S. Don't say you understand what they're going through, this makes us angry because you really don't. Imagination isn't enough) XoXo ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- im at the early stages of anerixia i havent been for long... not much to know yet but i know that i don't yet know the full emoutions but ive gotten deppesion and headaches loads lack of energy , no matter how much you lose your never happy... but i want to carry on ... i know its unhealthy but i don't have a choice i can chose what i want anymore i can still eat yeah but i auto-maticly go sick it up i don't know why my mates trying to help me but i end up getting aggressive and shout at her i don't mean to thoguh i wish she understood.
I would tell someone right away. I know it is harder said than done, but i knew someone who tried to commit suicide because of this. If you tell someone, they will not think any less of you. They just want the best for you. I would tell a mom or someone who is easy to talk to. Just remember. People are there for you. I am here for you, your family is here for you, and God is here for you.
I would say in my personal opinion, that you should be there for her, obviously, but also let her know every now and then that she should get help. If it gets very bad, I would suggest telling someone like a trusted adult or a school counselor (this is part of their job!). I hope your friend will get help.
There are some really great clinics that you can go to that are designed just for people with eating disorders. I used to be anorexic myself so I know what you are going through. I am so very proud of you for wanting to get help. I did not make that decision on my own like you. I was told that I had to get help. God Bless you!:) If you need to e-mail me my e-mail address is tinathach@yahoo.com.
