NO! This is EXTREMELY dangerous!
No
Although it is a forged barrel it is NOT suited for todays high velocity or magnum loads. I shoot mine with the lowest FPS shells I can find or load.
If Vulcan steel barrel means very old or "Damascus" type twist steel barrels, the answer is an emphatic "NO". You're too young to die, no matter what your current age.
NO !!!!!! damascus steel is not made to shoot with modern powders. It was made for black powder shotshells only. It would be very dangerous to shoot with todays loads . to much pressure in todays powders Maybe, but - - - In Europe, a lot of old shotguns from the top tier of gunmakers have been properly maintained for 100 or more years and reproofed regularly and are still in use with "modern" ammunition. Lacking a government proof-house in the US, I'd be very reluctant to fire any type of twist-steel barrel, even with black-powder equivalent loads.
You could eaither shoot dove with a 20 gauge shotgun or a 12 gauge shotgun. You should also use a bird shot shells
Yes, shorter shells are no problem.
yes
No, you can not shoot anything but 12 gauge shotgun shells through a 12 gauge shotgun. Never use any ammunition other than what the firearm was designed for.
The length of the chamber in a 2 3/4 inch chambered shotgun is 2 3/4". The longer 3" shotgun shells will not fit in the chamber, being 1/4" too long. You can shoot 2 3/4" shotgun shells, of the correct gauge, in a 3" chambered shotgun.
Yes, definitely, always, without exception. Pyrodex or similar powders which equal the characteristics of black powder may be used. Significant danger to the shooter and the gun will result if smokeless powder is used. Note many folks who know that their Damascus barrels are sound shoot modern shells through their guns. I have shot thousands of Winchester AA Feathers through my Damascus Daly. These shells have lower pressure that many black powder rounds. With a gun this fine you should join the DoubleGun BBS a place where old guns are talked about every day and shot alot. Also check out the German Gun Collectors website. Never shoot every day wally world shells but modern low pressure shell can be found without much trouble.
Yes
A 41 magnum caliber revolver will shoot 410 gauge shotgun shells but is not recommended. The shot will lead the barrel rifling. There are also adaptors you can put in a shotgun that allow you to fire pistol/rifle ammunition.
