Can you take Adderall XR and Exffor together?

You shouldn't need to take both, as Venlafaxine(Effexor) has some stimulatory effects. If you are taking the Effexor for depression or anxiety I would not recommend taking it with Adderall. Adderall has the potential to cause feelings of anxiety, because your brain works overtime, and this can be difficult for some people. Also if you were to stop taking the Adderall (if you did start using it or if you already are) there is a potential for you to feel depressed, this could also happen if your body gets used to the Adderall and needs a higher dosage. So keep that in mind. But, if you talk with your doctor about the risks and benefits of using both of these drugs together, then perhaps you should follows their orders. I would also like to add that Strattera is a non-stimulant medication used for ADHD and has been shown to decrease depression in some patients.

sure you can, but should you? no. does that mean i wouldn't? no. actually i did, it was a very unpleasant and jarring experience. id taken 60mg of adderall that day, along with 2 blue phentermine capsules my mom had been hoarding. i ended up feeling like id drunk a hundred thousand cups of coffee, and then hit my head just enough to get a headache so that my head pounded everytime my heart beat which was extremely fast and often due to the combined stimulants. alone, adderall can be fun and phentermine is more just being really really awake. and of course, on both, not hungry. but don't mix, it isn't fun at all.

I would say that its not a great idea to mix Adderall and Ephedrine. They are both stimulants, so technically one should be fine. Adderall is best. Although extremely addictive.

Yes I am currently prescribed both. I know it poses a risk of Serotonin Syndrome, but I have not run into this. I take 20 mg Adderall XR 2x daily, plus 20 mg adderall, and 150 mg efexor (sp?)
