It's possible, but not necessary, that a particle moving with constant speed

has zero acceleration. In order for acceleration to be zero, it's also necessary

that the particle be moving in a straight line.

An object moving with constant speed around a curve has acceleration.

"Acceleration" does not mean "speeding up".

Why is a particle in uniform circular motion not moving at a constant speed?

Are you talking about the Illinois Particle accelerator? Well I think that it doesn't go at a constant speed but at a constant Acceleration, since it is accelerating and not staying at one speed is is therefor Constant Acceleration until they slowly work it up to almost the speed of light.

Can a particle with constant speed be accelerating what if it has constant velocity?

Velocity is speed together with its direction.Acceleration indicates a change in velocity ... speed or direction or both.Change of direction means acceleration, even if speed is constant.Constant velocity means constant speed and direction ... zero acceleration.

Is it possible for a body to have acceleration if the speed is constant?

Yes. Acceleration by definition is a change in speed, direction, or both. If the speed is constant, the direction could still be changing. You can feel a change in direction, therefore you can feel acceleration even if the speed is constant.

What is the difference between constant speed and constant acceleration?

Constant speed means that speed doesn't change. Constant acceleration means that acceleration doesn't change. (If the acceleration is anything but zero, speed WILL change.)

Compare the tension of a train with constant speed and acceleration?

Unless the train is in a curve, you cannot have constant speed and constant acceleration. You either have constant speed and zero acceleration, or you have changing speed and constant acceleration. Please restate the question.

How is it possible for a car moving at constant speed be accelerating?

Not possible, acceleration dV/dt =0.

For a car moving around a circular track at a constant speed the acceleration is?

constant speed=0 acceleration Acceleration is the change in speed. If the speed doesn't change(ie constant) the acceleration is zero.

Can a body moving with constant speed has acceleration?

Yes. Eg : in case of a uniform circular motion. In general, for every motion in which direction of motion of particle keeps changing continuously and the particle moves with same speed, then the net acceleration is non-zero, although tangential acceleration is zero.

Is it possible for a body to have acceleration when moving constant speed and constant velocity?

No; acceleration means the velocity changes. No; acceleration means the velocity changes. No; acceleration means the velocity changes. No; acceleration means the velocity changes.

Can a body moving at constant speed have a non-zero accelertion?

Constant speed means constant velocity. Constant velocity means an object is covering same distance in equal intervals of time. So how is it possible to have acceleration. Acceleration means speed is increasing with equal intervals of time. So its not possible according to my logic.

How is it possible to be accelerating at a constant speed?

Since acceleration involves a change in velocity, and object might be accelerating even though its speed is constant.

How are constant speed and constant acceleration different?

There is a huge difference between constant speed and constant acceleration. Constant speed is when the object is travelling constant, no change in its velocity and acceleration or in other words no extra force to speed up. Constant acceleration when the object is acceleration constant, it means that the speed of the object is change at the same rate each second. The acceleration rate at which the object is travelling is constant. for example, when a car is stationary at a traffic light and it starts acceleration, picking up speed but the rate of acceleration will not constant because the amount of force applied differs each second due to the acceleration rate.
