It may work as a temporary fix.
No . . . that would be extremely dangerous.

If it is a small leak, stopgap products like StopLeak can be used, but the radiator will eventually need to be replaced
Buy a new or used tank.
Other than replacing the radiator, which is the best option, I have used the JB weld stick. It is any epoxy putty. Just knead it into a long cylinder, then place it into the crack. Work the putty into the crack very well. Do this when the radiator is cool, for best results. Max heat temp for this product is 300 F. So dont let it overheat. JB Weld stick costs around $5. Good Luck Not sure if this will help but I have recently discovered that many plastics can be "Welded" using simple PVC pipe solvent. Cheers
You could try soldering
Yes, crack it on the side and leave it to cool.
By replacing the radiator. I've seen people use JB Plastic Weld and it only holds up for a few weeks.
If you mean cracked get a soldering iron and go over the crack very carefully to weld it back together.
Depends on where it is cracked. If it is a small crack, J.B. Weld, found at any hardware store, can be used as a quick and temparary fix. Otherwise it would be better to get a new block altogether.
It will fill in the crack, but it will not add any strength to the bracket. I would recommend either brazing or replacement of the cracked part.
if you have time to wait 16hrs. JB Weld is the best way. if not barrs leak is a good temporary fix.
