Addisons in dogs?
Yes, dogs can get addisons but it isn't common. It is usually caused by atrophy of the adrenal glands. Usually in middle aged female dogs. Signs of addisons include weight loss, drinking and peeing more and muscle weakness. You must take your dog to the vet to get addisons diagnosed. It can be hard to diagnose as looks like many other diseases. They may do a ACTH stimulation test where they take a blood sample, then dose with ACTH then take another blood sample and see if there is any change in hormone levels. Once addisons is diagnosed, it can be treated with a drug called "Florinef" which contains fludrocortisone acetate.
What side effect from the drug Depakote causes uncontrolled movement of the arms and legs?
Depakote is not known for causing that reaction, it's more common with antipsychotic medications such as Haldol. If you're experiencing uncontrolled movements, first make sure your Depakote blood level is checked to be sure it's not in the toxic range. Talk any side effects over with your doctor or pharmacist.

Yes... I have had bronchitis really bad and was given 20mg prednisone while on 500 mg depakote er. i didnt have any side affects and it helped with my bronchiole irritation
What would happen if someone smokes depakote?
First of all, you should never crush pills and smoke them in any way. That could cause respiratory failure and Depakote is a very strong medication. I've been taking it for ten years and you CANNOT get high from taking Depakote wether you take it by mouth or however else you intend to do it.
