Kadabra, along with Haunter, Machoke, and Graveler, can't evolve without being traded. Nintendo made Pokemon like these this way so you and/or your friends would have to buy more of Nintendo's game products if you and your friends want to complete your Pokédex.
machoke doesnt evolve by lvl he evolves by trade dont worry u dont have to give him anythnig to make him evolve while trading like onix and the steal coat for steilx dont do it stright away though cos machamp doesnt lern many moves so make sure that machoke is on lvl 60

Graveler does not use an item to evolve. It evolves by being traded to someone else, meaning that you will need at least two game cartridges and consoles and a way to link them together. The same goes for Haunter, Machoke, and Kadabra.
