Only if you introduce a female to them.
2 males on their own will not mate
To be honest, if you just buy 2 gerbils, boy and girl, then it is unpredictable to know when they mate. They could mate anytime. :D
Gerbils go into heat ever 4 day. There are no outward signs that they are in heat, unless a male is in the tank (in which the male will attempt to mate with her)
Male gerbils can be neutered, but it is not recomended. Female gerbils should not be spayed. In general male gerbils should not be neutered unless there is a good reason for it.
It's really quite self explainatory. Get younger gerbils, a male and a female. Make sure they aren't from the same litter, if they are the babies could have health problems. If they are younger, introducing them to one another should be a peice of cake, if not use the slipt-cage method. They should mate, and about 21 days later, you will have a litter of gerbils. =)
Gerbils can have a litter about every 5 weeks. Gerbils mate right after the birth of a litter, and the mother can prolong the pregnancy to up to 40 days if she is nursing. A gerbil will produce about 4-5 pups on average per litter, but can have up to 12! With about 10 litters per year with no break, that means about 50 gerbil pups a year! They are rather prolific breeders. :]
dont it is a breech of their human rights
um no, only female gerbils can
No they don't. They go into heat on average about every 6 to 10 days. Only during that time will they allow a male to mate with them and can become pregnant.
...You are kidding, right? Gerbils are mammals; some of them are male, and some are, well, female. They reproduce the way mammals do.
no
no
no but they will have babies and when they do the father will try to eat them so if you do have babies take the father away when they are being born. male gerbils fight with each other.
