yes, absolutely. The term munchies comes from when you smoke and get very hungry..that is why many people with deases/cancer smoke (specifically medical marijuana) to increase their appetite.
Medical marijuana is more common than you would think. Many people smoke marijuana to alleviate the pain of cancer or muscle pain. It is also helpful with nausea. I have even heard of it being used by anorexic and bulimic patients to get them to gain weight.
Yes. People actually tend to gain weight while smoking marijuana due to the effects of increased appetite and decreased energy. However, THC is stored in a person's fat cells, therefore the more weight you gain, the longer marijuana will be traceable in your system
Smoking marijuana will cause you to "get the munchies," which is just an increased hunger. You will most likely give in to your munchies and eat a lot of food, typically unhealthy food choices! You are also more apt to just sit around and not be very physically active. You might not gain weight, but some people that abuse this drug tend to.
Marijuana has no effect on weight gain or loss. Most gain weight because they get hungry when there high
Some will gain weight, and others will lose it. Drugs have different effects on different people, and can either make you feel more hungry (gain weight) or less hungry (lose weight).
It won't help your symptoms as far as pain relief but it can help you forget about the discomfort for a while because it helps you relax. However on the downside....if you have fibromyalgia and you are not very active the hunger induced by weed can cause weight gain.
The use of marijuana does not directly effect weight gain, or cellulite. There is a causality postulated by some that marijuana usage results in slothfulness and therefore weight gain, which can cause cellulite. Cellulite is caused by problems with the connective tissues and the expansion of fat cells inside the body and marijuana does not directly, or indirectly effect these connective tissues.
peeta and katniss gain haymitch's support by playing the star-crossed lovers act so they gain more sponsors to help them win The Hunger Games
Although marijuana addiction can cause problems, it is not a problem in and of itself. Your best bet is to gain stronger influence over the person you are trying to "help" and then use that influence to show them how quiting marijuana will improve their quality of life. You also might try and introduce them to cool people, or attractive people of the opposite sex, that do not enjoy or approve of marijuana. If the person becomes friends with these people, then there will be more pressure on him/her to quit marijuana, in order to fit in with these people. Ultimately, your options will be limited by your relationship with this person.
You don't lose weight from smoking marijuana. You gain weight because you get the munchies when high, and eat a lot.
Some people love gorging themselves because they gain comfort from eating the food in large quantities. Most people who gorge themselves are eating due to emotional reasons rather than hunger.
The marijuana itself has no influence on your weight gain/loss. Marijuana does, however, cause an increase in appetite and that again may lead to weightgain.
