A closed system does not allow for energy or matter to enter or leave the system.
In an open system, both energy and matter flow.In an closed system only energy flow.In an isolated system neither energy nor matter flow.
An isolated system does not exchange energy or matter with its surrounding.
A system in which neither matter nor enery enters or leaves is a closed system.
Energy can enter or exist an open system

1. A closed system is a system which is isolated so that it cannot exchange matter or energy with its surroundings.
In reality closed systems do not exist. In the theoretical case of a closed system the total energy of the system would stay the same (matter and particles are considered energy to). More important: the energy level throughout the whole system will eventually be evenly spread and uniform (entropy), therefore no energy differential is left to perform work.
A closed system does not let any matter enter or exit, and no energy enters or exits the system.
An isolated system does not exchange energy or matter with its surrounding.
here, ill copy from my school :) lol. im learning this too. hope this helps :DIn a closed systemClosed System: A system where the total mass is a conserved quantity but the total energy is not., energy can enter or leave the system but matter cannot. The planet Earth is an example of a closed system. The outer edge of the atmosphere acts as a boundary between the system, Earth, and its surroundings. Matter does not enter or leave the system, except for the occasional meteorite or shuttle, but energy is freely transferred between the Earth and its surroundings. Energy in the form of radiation from the Sun passes through the atmosphere to the Earth's surface. The Earth also emits radiation back out to space. Because energy passes across its atmosphere but matter usually does not, the Earth is considered a closed system.
A system in which neither matter nor enery enters or leaves is a closed system.
The way it could be considered a closedSystem is through matter. Since matter doesn't get a lot of energy from space, just the biosphere. Elements passfrom one organism to the next through closed loops called biogeochemical cycles. For everything except energy, it's closed. For energy EX. the sun it's open.thanksyou im 13
It's an open systerm. If we look at any organism as a system that needs and uses energy, we can see what would happen if the energy supply was cut off. The system would fail due to lack of the necessary energy to meet its needs. This type of system is considered a closed system. No new energy can enter, while the available energy is changed into useless heat, causing the system to fail.
For living things to carry out their processes, energy must enter the earth system constantly.
